Destroying Happiness

Seth had an interesting post about the condition of our happiness today.
Most people have a better standard of living today than Louis XIV did in his day. So why are so many people unhappy?

What you have doesn't make you unhappy. What you want does.

I 100% agree with Seth. We do not strive to feel content...we strive to gain what we do not have...meaning what we do "have" is not enough. I would guess that this is more of a problem in America than most other places. I definitely need to work on my contentment factor!
